Misc. Observations regarding the Paul averly card

Postby Zresearch » Fri Nov 17, 2017 10:07 am

Personally, I feel that often times individuals can find or create meanings behind things which may have never crossed the mind of the author, and all to often these discoveries are only significant to the person who made them.

I know the Paul averly card has been examined time and time again, the thing has been put under a microscope (figuratively), and experts from all fields have examined it, so I am sure that I am not going to notice anything new.

I am also aware that these observations are incredibly basic, and are likely insignificant, and again, I am sure that I am not noticing anything new.

If you look at the skeleton on the front of the card, when the pumpkin is placed over the skeleton as it was, it causes the number of the pieces composing the rib cage to equal 14. (Without the pumpkin there, there would be 4 extra pieces connecting the ribs to the pelvis.) I feel the pumpkin may have been placed on the skeleton in an effort to make the pieces composing the rib cage equal 14. (A friend of mine thought the pumpkin was added because it made it look like the skeleton was having sex with the pumpkin, specially with the motion lines surrounding it, however, I am not sure at all that this was the case, I feel it had more to do with keeping the number of ribs at 14

There are 13 eyes depicted on the inside of the card. (One of the eyes was already present, the other 12 were added by zodiac) a friend of mine feels that the 14th eye is the left eye of the skeleton on the front of the card, however, even if this was the case, a meaning is still unclear.

The below section was JUST FOR FUN, I was simply looking for similar greeting cards to pass time:

Below are some similar vintage cards:

Gary L. Stewart claims that his father, Earl Van Best, Jr. , was zodiac. He claims that the "14" was related to an article avery wrote about Earl Van Best, Jr. And a 14 year old girl, and that the 14 was a signal to avery...

Who knows, I have not looked into in any detail yet.

I have been focused on blue rock springs, and my person of interest in that attack.

...but these newer claims always interest me.

14 is simply a threat at Paul Avery being the next "14th" victim, so it wouldn't surprise me if 14's were all over the place, like the eyes.

This was what I had concluded, that the "14" was a reference to the 4-teenth victim, if we follow zodiacs correspondence with the press we will find that he is claiming 13 victims just prior to the card.

However, I am of the opinion that many of these cryptic details will become entirely clear when examined in relation to the actual zodiac, and may just add to confusion when examined on their own or in relation to the wrong suspect.

I have not heard anybody mention the pumpkin being placed over the skeletons pelvis so that the pieces composing the rib cage would equal 14, which I feel was significant, but as it is unclear exactly what the 14 was referring to its difficult to say.

I still think the 13 eyes were also significant, I also feel that my friend may have been onto something when she suggested that the left eye of the skeleton on the front of the card was eye number 14, and marks a clue of some sort.

I have also considered that zodiac enjoyed messing with others, he enjoyed generating false leads and placing fake clues, and in all honesty those letters and ciphers were likely designed to keep a person busy (and distracted) for a lifetime, while constantly leading them in the wrong directions. What is more likely, that zodiac would give up his identity? Or that zodiac was messing with everybody's head?

He said it time and again "I am crack-proof"

I would say you would be better off following clues that the killer did not intentionally give you. Find evidence that was not left for the police find, find his real mistakes, and you will find zodiac.

I had not considered this. That is a good point.

I still investigate the ciphers, and I still think there may be value in investigating the ciphers, I just investigate them separately from the crimes themselves. Starting your investigation with klews that were spoon-fed to you by the perpetrator of the crimes themselves is a great way to muddle up your investigation from the start. Which is why I look for clues that zodiac may have left unintentionally, I look at the hard facts and evidence from the crimes scenes, and I often look at these crimes from the perspective of being individual crimes, I try to leave everything I know about zodiac out of my mind so I can look at these crimes objectively and free from preconceptions.

I initially found zodiac through researching unsolved ciphers. I was researching the voynich manuscript in depth and was also messing around with the oak island ciphers, which will often have dual meanings and can be decoded into readable messages in more than one language.

...then I started working on the zodiac ciphers.

https://www.simonsingh.net/The_Black_Ch ... gtool.html

The link above is a "cheat tool" for substitution ciphers, and just out of curiosity I began running the zodiac ciphers through similar programs.

I started working through all the Classical ciphers ( transposition ciphers and substitution ciphers ), variations of Caesar ciphers, and so on...

I also referenced the zodiac cipher with techniques developed by Johannes Trithemius in the Steganographia.

...and strangely enough made a good deal of progress.

Then I began applying more advanced methods...

I have kept my cipher work separate from my investigation of crimes committed by zodiac, again, I think it is bad investigative work to focus on klews which were spoon fed to you by the perpetrator of the crime.

...though honestly I have made more progress with my cipher work than with my zodiac investigation. I am stuck on blue rock springs, officer richard Hoffman made some comments that made me suspicious, so I began making a timeline to hoffman in relation to blue rock springs, and found nd that before, during, and after the shooting he was in the exact area of the crime, he then rode in the ambulance with Darlene, and was able to make the call just after her death from a phone near the police station. Think about it, at that point the only people who knew for sure that Darlene was dead was officer Hoffman and the medical responders and hospital workers, so to make the call just after Darlene's death, two minutes after after her death to be precise, you would have had to have known she died, then he leaves the hospital and travels to the phone to make the confession call. I made a timeline and a map, I thought this would eliminate richard hoffman as a suspect, but in the end it is ultimately showing that no one except richard hoffman could have been the shooter at blue rock springs...plus there are the claims that hoffman was at the painting party at Darlene's house just before her murder, and it is also claimed that officer Hoffman and officer buzz gordon were both dating Darlene, it is also known that gordon and Hoffman had good not a fist fight just before the murder as well. Then we have Mike in the "this is the zodiac speaking" documentary saying that they had been "chased all over town", when Mike asked Darlene she said "he is just jealous" " he will kill us both" and "something about RICHARD", then, by coincidence a man named richard is in plain cloths in an unmarked car, with a 9mm and a police flashlight just happens to be in the area of the murder with a good motive...

I am sorry to go off topic, I know my conclusions regarding blue rock springs belong in the thread on that topic.

The point I was getting at was that I was investigating the zodiac crimes, crime by crime, and the zodiac ciphers and letters completely separately, and for good reason.

As a fan of anagrams, just for fun, I thought I would see if i could get anything from "your secret pal"

Most were pretty useless, such as "a celery sprout" but I did manage to form a couple names like "Lee Rusty Copra" or "Lee Troy Carpus" our even "our clay Peters"

...all pretty useless in relation to zodiac, but it was a fun phrase to anagram.

I always thought that the perfect triangle formed by the position of the skeletons feet was significant, it at least appears quite intentional.
